PHENND-Tech was a branch of PHENND that primarily concentrated on efforts towards bridging the Digital Divide. As an information sharing and networking group, it was developed to help combat the strain on resources that several technology programs were facing by encouraging cooperation between existing groups as well as serving as a resource for other institutes of higher education interested in technology based community outreach. The initiative focused on four components: refurbishment, computer literacy, technical support, and funding. Due to a lack of interest, this initiative never quite got off the ground, but the basic infrastructure still exists should the timing be right.
